Coh Amaral is a production designer and art director based in São Paulo, with fifteen years of experience in the film industry. Her career includes narrative film productions, such as feature films, TV series, shorts, as well as numerous advertising projects. Coh has collaborated on projects for major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, MAX, Disney+, and Globoplay.
Coh was awarded two times in 2024: Best Production Design at Gramado International Film Festival for “Maputo” and Best Production Design at T.I.F.A. International Film Festival for “Até o Caroço”.
Her latest work is the Art Direction for MAX's first soap opera, "Beleza Fatal," set to premiere in 2025. She designed 3rd season of the series “Unidade Básica” (Globoplay) in 2022 and co-designed Netflix series “Cidade Invisível” in 2023. Notable projects she has worked on as a set designer and assistant production designer include the award-winning series “Girls From Ipanema” (1st and 2nd seasons) (Netflix) and “September Mornings” (Amazon Prime Video), both of which won the ABC Art Direction Award in 2021 and 2022, as well as “Jules And Dolores,” which received the Best Art Direction award at the 44th Festival de Gramado in 2016.
Commercial work includes participation in campaigns for Linkedin, Apple, Google, Samsung, Kitchenaid, Mitsubishi, Renault, Mc Donalds and many others.
Coh holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo. Her final project, titled Architecture and Cinema: Decoupage of Space and Route, received a nomination for the Ópera Prima Award in 2016. This project marked the beginning of her exploration into the relationship between spatial design and how characters interact with and navigate these spaces.
